SMS Message: Villa went down and came back up, we've thrived since then. But we've had a positive board, real investment and great decisions regarding management and the playing staff. Yes, we've been lucky (thinking about the last day of the season a few years ago), but going down did us the world of good. Everton needs that. They really look lost. The only issue is that could be the straw that sends them spiralling... i.e. Leeds, Middlesbrough etc.. from Anon

As I finished typing those words Cole Palmer has a chance for his fourth goal of the game. Mykhailo Mudryk's plays a lovely through ball into his path and Palmer tries to slot it past Jordan Pickford, who saves with his leg.

Cole Palmer hasn't been involved much in this half. He can't quite get onto a couple of balls.

Not that it could have been much worse.
And as I write that, captain James Tarkowski wipes out Nicolas Jackson and gets booked.

Timmy: People are talking about relegation being a good reset for Everton. Legitimately, Everton may not recover from relegation. The finances are so bad that we may enter adminstration and end up in League One. We cannot get relegated.

We won't find out yet because Jarrad Branthwaite has headed into the side-netting.

Chelsea 4-0 Everton
Chelsea lose the ball a bit easily and Andre Gomes' 22-yard shot is deflected wide for a corner.
Would an Everton goal make Chelsea a bit nervous?

Chelsea's Trevoh Chalobah helps to stop Beto and let the ball run to his keeper.

How can Cole Palmer follow up that first half?

Tim: I always quite liked Everton. Recently however, they have been so badly run that it has not been easy to be fond of them as a second team. Maybe they genuinely need a relegation to wake up and smell the coffee?

Aren't England also supposed to build a team around Jude Bellingham? You can't build a team around everyone...

This is the second quickest that Everton have ever been 4-0 down in a Premier League game, only after their game at Arsenal in February 2018 (37 minutes).
That ended 5-1.

SMS Message: This game makes me sick to my stomach and not just because of the score. A reminder Everton have earnt 35 points on the pitch this season. Yet we are suffering again because of owners and the Premier League. Yet Chelsea can spend a billion with impunity, whilst selling hotels to themselves to balance the books. PSR is as shambles. Like this Everton performance. from Andy
