Rami A While it may not be as good as the first, it's definitely a wild ride. I was hooked during the first half; however, with the second half, it slowly started feeling like the ideas were running out. It may hurt the film, but it doesn't detract from the experience. Putting Neeson in the hot seat, the story adds an interesting element by making Bryan one of the characters in trouble. Flipping the dynamic, the story takes some fun twists and turns amidst the fast paced action. Unfortunately, the action sequences are much harder to watch than the original, with constant shaky cam and nonstop cutting from camera to camera. While this is an action movie staple, it is used to a near unbearable degree in this film and becomes near headache inducing by the end. While it is fun, it's very similar to the original and fails in areas that the first succeeded. Taken 2 is a fast and enjoyable ride, but don't expect anything to be taken up a notch for the franchise.
